Having a Successful Session

Successful sessions When it comes to photography, we want to get the most out of the session we purchase, and this is a photographers number one priority. That and getting the best quality photos and leaving with the best possible feeling. I would like to share with you, some helpful tips to be able to get the most out of your session. These tips are all universal and will help both you and the photographer immensely. - Please arrive early. When a photographer books sessions, they usually have a lot of back to back sessions planned for the day. By arriving early, you ensure to get the most time dedicated to you and your session. By arriving late, you cut into your time that you paid your hard earned money on. It’s polite to be early and makes the life of the photographer so much easier. - Be ready/get your children ready before the session. By having everyone dressed before hand, the session can start right away, and you will again get the most of your time. This ensures your satisfaction and will be a big help for your photographer. - This follows the previous tip. Try to only bring 1, at most 2 outfits. If you end up bringing more, this will cut into the time the photographer has to take your picture. By changing yourself or your child often, time will go by quickly and you won’t have many end shots. Your photographer wants nothing more than to give you many shots to enjoy. - Don’t be afraid to ask your photographer any questions you may have or voice any concerns. The best time to do this is before your session so that you can feel happy and comfortable going into it. Again, your photographer will be able to get more shots and give you more options. A good photographer will be very happy to work with you and answer any questions you may have and work with you. - Be yourself! I find some of the most beautiful pictures are the most natural. So don’t worry about trying to pose or trying to make your child smile. Just let things happen naturally and your photographer will do the rest!
