Spring Family Sessions
Boy! I am so glad I had my blossom sessions last week considering how rainy it is supposed to be the next few days.
This year we did our family sessions all at the Dominium Arboretum. It was so beautiful and families didn’t have to walk far to see how pretty the blossoms were. There were so many blossoming trees in pink and white that the ton of photographers there didn’t have to fight over them for too long.
Most of my clients this year were repeat clients which was so nice! One of my favorite aspects of being a newborn photographer is that if you get repeat clients you get to see their families grow up! It’s so obvious that this would happen but it’s also funny how babies look the same. It different as they grow up! I can usually remember how they were during their sessions- some babies are extra sensitive or grumpy or super happy and that usually carries on until they are older!
Next year I may do my sessions at Lincoln fields where there are rows of trees instead of random trees just to spice it up a bit. I don’t do family pictures unless I’m asked normally but spring and fall seem to be the big times for getting family pictures done.
I’d like to share some of my favourites so far (I haven’t edited a lot of the family sessions because there are a LOT) so let me know what you think! I’m looking forward to all the newborn sessions I have coming up from previous maternity clients that I shot a while ago- it’s so exciting to see! And clients are starting to request more “unconventional” colours like greens and blues for girls which is amazing! I can’t wait until I get someone requesting yellow- it’s one of my favourite colours!
See you soon!
