Editing Images

June 10, 2018

Editing images was probably so far one of the most difficult things I learned. A lot of people don’t want to share their secrets and everyone does things differently. Thankfully, there are a lot of YouTube videos out there that provide a lot of useful information on editing. You’ll have to figure out how to piece everything together according to your own shooting style and what exactly you need to do to your images, but it provides a good solid foundation. My contract includes these things and there are things that I won’t edit in pictures without a separate fee. The reason is photographers include editing time in their business and pricing and if you require something specific to be done that would cut into extra time, we are asking time away from our families to edit for you. I’ve had a ton of amazing clients but you get the odd one once in a while that has a few extra requests- just please be mindful of the extra time that takes. Summer, fall, and winter up until Christmas time are insanely busy for photography- the weather is mostly beautiful and the leaves are all open on the trees which makes for fantastic backdrops for family and maternity images. Make sure to book your sessions early because most people are booked weeks in advance!

Can’t wait to work with you :)
