Choosing Props for Your Newborn Session

When my clients come to their session I often ask them which props they would like. You want to know something funny? A lot of the images that clients end up choosing for their newborn session are actually ones that they said they didn't want! I think this is mainly because they don't totally understand how I shoot and they just see the image for what it is. But! I do love taking my client's ideas into consideration. Sometimes they surprise me with their choices. When I'm choosing props, I make sure that 1. They will be safe to put a baby in. 2. They are big enough for a newborn in. 3. There are no parts of the prop that are going to hurt or poke the baby. 4. The colours are neutral enough that I can use other colours to add things to the prop so that it will match the other images in your gallery.

Being a photographer, I am so happy that people trust me with their newborns. It's scary enough having a baby and not knowing this little person that you grew inside of you for nine months, and trying to figure out what they want. I love that you can trust my vision and that you have chosen me- there are a lot of newborn photographers out there!

Props are one of my favourite things, I really love bucket shots. It's my job to make something that a newborn is not necessarily naturally able to do look like it's something that they are doing on their own, and it is so rewarding to get those final images. I am qualified and trained in safety and in photography, and I can ensure you that your baby could not be in better hands. On top of that, I'll be going to school as a nurse in the winter (will definitely still be doing photography as well!) so you can trust me that much more! I want your experience to be a seamless and comfortable one, with the images that I provide you during your newborn session being lovely memories that will last a lifetime. Book your session now - I actually already have bookings into January of next year!

Thanks a lot and have a lovely day. =)

Until next week,
